How Does Fluoride Protect Teeth?
Fluoride benefits both children and adults. Here’s how:
Before teeth break through the gums, the fluoride taken in from foods, beverages and dietary supplements makes tooth enamel (the hard surface of the tooth) stronger, making it easier to resist tooth decay. This provides what is called a “systemic” benefit.
After teeth erupt, fluoride helps rebuild weakened tooth enamel and reverses early signs of tooth decay. When you brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste, or use other fluoride dental treatment by your dentist, the fluoride is applied to the surface of your teeth. This provides what is called a “topical” benefit.

Professional Fluoride treatment involves placing Fluoride varnish on your teeth or making custom fluoride trays or prescribing stronger fluoride tooth-paste or combination of all of them.

Dr D was friendly, soft spoken and calm. There was a break down of payment for procedures and payment options. Also scheduling follow up appointment was easy. I was in so much pain and saw that they do in house removal so I set an appointment on Saturday for Monday. They have a specialist who comes in to do wisdom teeth removal and I happened to get lucky and be there on a day he was there and was able to have my tooth removed a couple hours later.From the moment I got there to the moment I left I had a great experience with the staff and Dr. D. They were kind and very understanding. Even when it looked like things were getting behind and I wouldn't be seen, one of the ladies there got the traveling doctor (Doctor Jake) to still see me and get it removed. The traveling doctor/specialist Dr Jake and his staff was super friendly and had my tooth out on seconds I couldn't believe it. Afterwards I didn't take my pain meds immediately because I was still waiting on Walgreens and so the pain was horrible. I ended up going back to the office to make sure everything was okay, they were super patient with me. What I was experiencing was super normal which is why they say to take the medicine right when you get it but they were kind enough to bring me in the back, x-ray and check on the area to give me peace of mind. Again, just great bed side manner, and kindness. Also they offer an in house Dental Service Plan membership if you don't have insurance (which we don't), so we signed up for that. It's better than when we did have insurance. Super excited to be on a regular schedule there and to get both my kids in. My husband is scheduled for an appointment later this week. - I had an amazing experience today at Kyle Parkway Denistry. The office was very beautiful and the staff was welcoming. The check in process was fast and easy. Although I am not the most comfortable at the Denist’s office, I had a great visit and thorough cleaning. - The entire staff and Dr. D. are so amazing. They are pleasant and very knowledgeable from start to finish. I used to live in Kyle several years ago and have since moved. - I have had a great experience with KPD. I had not been to the dentist for several years due to anxiety. Dr. D and Hygienist Paul have been so kind and put me at ease. Also had my wisdom test removed in office, (highly recommend sedation for this ) the procedure was quick and luckily I barely had any pain. The staff are all really great. You are greeted from the time you walk into their office until you walk out. They make you feel like part of their family. Very patient and always listening to any questions and or concerns you may have. I didn't have to wait long to be called back for my appointment. The hygienists and the dentist were friendly as well, they took some time before and after looking at my tooth to chat and ask how things are going.
The exam room had a television on the ceiling. One of the hygienists offered to put on a show from Netflix for me to watch during the exam and cleaning. After the cleaning, the dentist followed up with me on recommendations and took his time to make sure that all of my questions were answered.
Overall, I was very pleased with my appointment. - Soo after about a week searching for a new dentist, I came across Kyle Parkway Dentistry and I'm sooo glad I did. I had the most ahhmazing experience from the time I entered the door until the time I left. The wait time was maybe two-three mins max, the staff were very nice, professional & helpful!!! Now mind you I'm terrified of dental appts, but for some reason I felt sooooo relaxed in that chair. The atmosphere was very calming and just felt like I was at hm in my recliner LOL!!
